G&Tdye(i)deas, LLC is a home based business in Sheffield, Iowa, a small rural community in north central Iowa.
What started as a simple backyard hobby soon became a quest to see how many different bird species we could attract. In doing so we tried to create an environment that was inviting and included the placement of a traditional bird house, feeder and bath. We found that nothing was more attractive to our birds than an ample source of water. What became apparent was how quickly the bath was depleted and soon the birds were perching on the edge of a dry bowl. Frequently needing to refill the bowl, we asked ourselves if there was another way. How could we take something as simple as a bird bath bowl, add more water to it and maintain its simplicity without adding moving parts, hoses or cords?
As we began experimenting with different ideas, one day the idea emerged-use two bowls!
Building from this concept, we soon discovered that we not only had a bird bath that worked better then we ever anticipated, but also a bath that was not available in the market place today.
Securing our discovery with multiple patent applications and performing market based testing, we soon discovered that we not only had one (1) product of consumer interest but two (2). Although many were interested with the complete bird bath, others were interested with just the inner bowl, now known as the Bird Bath Raft™.
We would reach a standstill when no manufacturer expressed interested in working with us.
Believing in the market potential of the Two Bowl™ Bird Bath and the Bird Bath Raft™ we made the decision to stand behind our idea and develop the best product available ourselves.
In November 2006, G&Tdye(i)deas, LLC was founded.
